People named Matt Damon the Sexiest Man Alive today. That’s sweet, but totally not true. Even Matt Damon doesn’t think so. According to the magazine, Damon’s response was:

“You’ve given an aging suburban dad the ego-boost of a lifetime,” Damon, 37, told People, explaining why he couldn’t possibly accept the crown - which perfectly demonstrates many of the reasons we chose him in the first place: irresistible sense of humor, rock solid family man, heart-melting humility.”

Which is cute. But also not true. His buddy Ben Affleck was also on the list, as was Patrick Dempsey, Will Smith, and Adrian Grenier. Maybe they chose the one they could get a gushy quote from first.
