Kid Rock was arrested on a misdemeanor assault charge in February 2005, in Nashville, after getting into an altercation at Christie’s Cabaret. He got into a fight with the strip club’s DJ over his choice of music. Kid Rock pleaded no contest to criminal assault and was given a suspended sentence of 11 months and 29 days in jail. The DJ, Jay Campos, who suffered a mark on his face and a pair of broken glasses, is suing Kid Rock for $575,000.
